An uninterruptible power supply,is an electrical apparatus that provides emergency power to a
load when the input power source, typically the utility mains, fails.
An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) uses batteries and an inverter to supply AC power when main power is not available.
When main power is restored, a rectifier is used to supply DC power to recharge the batteries.
UPS is typically used to protect computers, data centers, telecommunication equipment or other
electrical equipment where an unexpected power disruption could cause injuries, fatalities,
serious business disruption and/or data loss.
